Mount Hermon Annonces Reformation Church History Tour and Oberammergau for 2010 Mount Hermon is pleased to announce plans for a Church History tour in Europe, August 10-21, 2010, that includes the Oberammergau Passion Play, which only occurs every ten years on the decade. Guest Speaker for the tour is Dramatic Presenter of Historical Church Personalities: Dr. Reg Grant, Professor of Pastoral Ministries, Dallas Theological Seminary. Author, actor in the Emmy Award winning In Search of the Heroes. Creative as a writer and communicator, Reg will portray various Reformation characters and bring them to life in dramatic performances throughout the tour. - Leipzig, Germany, and Bach Museum
- Erfurt, Germany, student home of Martin Luther from 1501-11 and as a monk from 1505–11
- Eisleben, Germany, Martin Luther's birthplace
- Wittenberg, Germany, when Luther posted his 95 Theses on the church doors
- Wartburg Castle, where Luther translated the New Testament into German, in 1521-22
- Nuremburg, Germany, home of organist Johann Pachelbel, famous for Christmas tree tinsel invention, and their famous lebkuchen (gingerbread)
- Oberammergau, Germany, and the world-renowned Passion Play (a half-day event)
- Bavarian Castle Tour, including Mad King Ludwig's Neuschwanstein Castle, built as a homage to Richard Wagner
- Zurich, Switzerland, with the ministry of reformationist Huldrych Zwingli
- Two nights in Gevena, Switzerland, home of reformer John Calvin
