Dining Services Manager

The new team positions have been created to work closely together while supporting the food service team. You will have the oppurtunity of working with the Food Service Manager to build a leadership team.

These positions are full time with a generous benefits package, including medical, dental,  a 401k, and access to many Mount Hermon recreation and conference options. Salary is commensurate with experience. Possibility for on-site housing.

Culinary Staff
We're looking for seasonal culinary help for this summer! As an assistant cook, you'll prepare fresh, from-scratch recipes in a clean and organized quantity-food kitchen. You'll be side-by-side with experienced, quality-minded people who care about good food and superior service. Experience is required.

Other positions in Bakery, Pantry prep and dish room will receive training. AM and PM shifts available.

Part Time Openings

Human Resources Coordinator
Mount Hermon is looking for an organized, outgoing, team-oriented individual to join our Human Resources (HR) staff. Qualified candidates will have experience in HR (preferably in a church or Para-church organization) and a willingness to work with multiple departments to achieve Mount Hermon's goals.

The HR Coordinator is a part-time employee responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of HR, promoting a nurturing and productive work environment for all employees, and advising the Chief Operating Officer on HR policies, plans, and budgets. Other responsibilities will include: Oversight of employee recruiting (except summer staff and interns); initiating events that improve the morale and the sense of community among staff; working with supervisors regarding employee performance and grievances; and coordinating job-related training for employees in legally mandated areas.

Kitchen Manager
We're looking for a fun, friendly, motivated individual with experience in an institutional cooking environment to follow up production requirements in our various kitchen departments. Caterer (Redwood Camp)
We're in need of a service oriented team player to cater for our rustic Redwood Camp. You will be transporting food from our Conference Center kitchen to our Redwood facilities . That being the case,  you must  have a valid drivers license and have the ability to lift fifty pounds. If you think that you fit the bill, we'd love to hear from you!

Canopy Tour Coordinator
Be a part of our pioneering ministry venture by helping to launch the first canopy tour in the redwoods. This program will be a premier, world-class tour with twin silent cable systems, harmonious design elements, integrated faith building and jaw-dropping sky bridges over our riparian corridor. We are seeking an organized, enthusiastic and responsible staff person with a love for Christ and creation, a passion for serving people and the ability to supervise staff working in a technical environment.

Must have two seasons experience in a roped adventure setting and one season in a supervisory role in any context. Must have or obtain Wilderness First Aide and CPR certifications.

Canopy Tour Guide
We are seeking a technically competent, physically fit person with at least one previous season in a roped adventure environment who has a good understanding of the redwood ecosystem, a passion for engaging all ages in spiritually-framed environmental stewardship and interpretive tours. Must enjoy connecting with participants relationally to create fun and a safe learning environment.
