An Easter sunrise service, open to the public, will be conducted at the summit of Mount Hermon on Easter Sunday at 6:30am. Reggie Coates will be leading a time of worship, and Mike Romberger will share an Easter message.
The non-denominational gathering is planned by volunteer community members and has been offered to the public annually for over 60 years. Anyone who wishes to join in the community celebration of Christ’s resurrection is welcome to attend.

The event is held at the summit of the 440-acre camp and conference center near Felton. A 24-foot-high cross marks the location for the sunrise service, and just up the hill from Mount Hermon’s Ponderosa Lodge. The view over Scotts Valley and the San Lorenzo Valley is spectacular, and the setting serene and perfect for the occasion. Mount Hermon's sunrise service attracts people of all ages lasts about 45 minutes.
A breakfast is offered for a donation at Ponderosa Lodge, immediately following the service.
It is about a 15-minute walk from Mount Hermon’s Ponderosa Lodge parking circle off Graham Hill Road, or the nearby County Probation Center.
Those making the climb need good hiking shoes for the sandy hill and warm clothes in case of a chilly morning.
Limited seating is provided for those unable to stand for the duration.
The Santa Cruz Mountains camp center includes the Conference Center, Ponderosa Lodge and Redwood Camp.
