More than a mountain top experience!

Ponderosa Lodge is a one-week camp experience full of laughter, play, community and worship as students experience life to the fullest. In one week at Ponderosa students can skate, surf, play laser tag or paintball, make new friends, swim, kayak, ride BMX bikes and experience our zip line or leap of faith. Most importantly, in one week at Ponderosa students will encounter the God who knows them, who loves them and who wants to change their lives for eternity.

Speaker | Josh Horton

Joshua “Chenny” Horton is a follower of Jesus, Christian hip-hop aficionado and coffee connoisseur who loves teenagers as much as he does a giant chipotle burrito or a trip through God’s finest creation: The Sierra Nevada mountain range. Josh first felt called to ministry in high school, when his own youth pastor sought him out, discipled him and showed him Jesus’ love for even the worst of sinners. Josh is the Youth Director at La Crescenta Presbyterian Church in Southern California where he gets to hang out with awesome students every day and go on weekly coffee dates with his girlfriend, whom he met and served alongside on Summer-staff at Mount Hermon back in 2012. He hopes someday to do mission work in South Africa, where he was allowed to assist in HIV/AIDS education in public schools in his few short-term trips to the beautiful country.

Amenities

Ponderosa Lodge Basketball Courts

There are plenty of courts at Ponderosa Lodge to keep the next NBA stars entertained. Half court or full court, there's plenty of room to pick up and throw down.

Disc Golf

A fun and challenging nine-hole disc golf course that navigates through our indigenous ponderosa pines.

High Ropes

Our high ropes courses will push you higher and farther with these aerial challenges. Climb the tower, take a leap, traverse the wires and travel through the air on our new zip line!

Paint Ball

Duck, dive, and shoot your way through bunkers, barrels, ditches, and the natural terrain of our paint ball course.

Ponderosa Pool

Hang at our HEATED pool, in the center of camp, and maybe even hit the high dive if you’re game. The pool is perfect for chilling, lap swims, or an exciting game of water basketball or water polo. The lights in the pool at night make the pool area a very popular hangout and activity.

Skate Park

Hit the street course at Ponderosa Lodge featuring ramps, half pipe, quarter bowl, and kink. This course works great for skateboards, blades and scooters.

Laser Tag

With enough units to facilitate two teams, these laser markers make camp the ultimate laser tag arena. You won't find inflatable barriers here, but how often do you get to hide behind a giant redwood or ponderosa pine when playing Laser Tag? Exactly. It's awesome.

Crafts

There's always something cool and exciting to make to help you remember your time at camp. Crafts range in ability and appeal for all ages and our counselors make craft time fun for girls and boys.

BMX Biking

A BMX course is available right on the property or an even more extensive ride just across the way at Henry Cowell State Park.

Housing

Ponderosa Lodge has 24 carpeted and heated cabins with two full bathrooms in each cabin. Guests sleep on built-in bunk beds. For speakers and leadership staff, there are four guest rooms, each with private bath.

Ponderosa's Dining Hall features a myriad of made-from-scratch entrees and arguably the best food on the mountain. Meals are served buffet style.
