Plan time to take that much needed deep breath.

Fall is one of the most intriguing seasons at Mount Hermon. As you walk amongst the redwoods, one can almost hear the surrounding environment take a huge breath after a busy summer. How often do we find ourselves either doing or needing the same thing? A deep breath to let one season pass and prepare ourselves for the next season. Plan time this October to come away to Mount Hermon, to take time to reflect on God’s presence in the seasons of our own lives.

Elizabeth Hunnicutt

Worship Leader | Elizabeth Hunnicutt

Born on a farm in rural Nebraska, and raised near the mountains of Colorado, Elizabeth has a way of engaging listeners like an old friend. Her music, best described as acoustic-folk-pop, has a personal feel, as if she’s singing entries from her journal. Faith is the foundation of Elizabeth’s thoughts and perspectives and that comes through in her honest and heartfelt lyrics. In 2006, Elizabeth received the Gospel Music Association Academy Award for Song of the Year, for her song “Alright.” Over the last few years, she has shared the stage with talented artists like David Crowder Band, Mat Kearney, Brooke Fraser, Sara Groves, Dave Barnes, Shane and Shane, and Derek Webb. Elizabeth is also a worship leader, and frequently can be found leading for a variety of groups.

Crafts

There's always something cool and exciting to make to help you remember your time at camp. Crafts range in ability and appeal for all ages and our counselors make craft time fun for girls and boys.

Sequoia Adventure Course

The Sequoia Adventure Course is one of our most popular courses. It consists of 14 different high ropes elements that range from 30 to 80 feet above ground, and ends in a tandem (2 person) zipline. All elements are done with a partner. All participants wear harnesses, helmets, and are connected to overhead cables by a double system of safety ropes and clips. The course is supervised by our expertly trained staff. Participants must be 57 inches tall, less than 250 pounds and at least 10 years old.

Redwood Canopy Tour

Soar through the unique forest groves and experience the giant redwoods from 150 feet above the canyon floor and zipping through the trees. This is the ultimate shared experience as small groups are led through a two-hour experience of seven platforms, two skybridges and six zip lines of up to 440 feet in length. Participants must be between 75 and 250 pounds and at least 52 inches tall. There is an additional charge for Canopy Tour

Conference Center Pool

Swimmers will enjoy our 25-yard pool with diving board and enclosed slide. A wading pool is also available for children.

McAfee Fieldhouse

Basketball and volleyball courts are located in the gymnasium on the first floor of the McAfee Fieldhouse. Our spacious game room is located on the second floor of the McAfee Fieldhouse and features ping pong, air hockey, foosball, pool, and shuffleboard. Footballs, soccer balls, Frisbees and other sports equipment can be check out of the fieldhouse office. Bocce ball is also located around the back of the fieldhouse.
