Law Enforcement Conference
Open for Singles and Couples

February 12-14, 2008

Relax and recharge with law enforcement friends and colleagues: Highway Patrol, Sheriffs, Police, civilian and sworn officers, academy students, the active and retired. Receive a spiritual challenge from God’s Word, plus stress-relief and physical refreshment in a dramatic setting.

Leadership

Pastor Ron Ritchie returns as our keynote speaker. He was a member of the pastoral team at Peninsula Bible Church, under the leadership of the late Ray Stedman, for many years. He now devotes himself to a full-time ministry of speaking and discipleship training through his organization, Free at Last. He is the author of a book by the same title. He and his wife, Anne Marie, have two grown sons and several grandchildren.  He has been a favorite speaker at Mount Hermon conferences for 26 years, and this is his sixth time to be the Law Enforcement speaker in those 26 years.

Music leadership comes from Dave Burns, Mount Hermon's new director of adult ministries, and a long time worship leader at family camps.

Dave Talbott, Mount Hermon’s associate director of advancement and resident musician, is your conference host, and provides a piano concert one evening.

Recreation

Enjoy our McAfee Fieldhouse, with 40-foot indoor climbing wall, state-of-the-art exercise room, and full basketball and volleyball courts. Cheer on or join in our annual 5K “Foot Pursuit” for walkers and joggers. Challenge our high ropes course. Bring your own mountain bike or rent one here, and ride on miles of trails in spectacular Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park just next door! And the beautiful Santa Cruz beach coastline is only seven miles down the road.

Electives

Along with the general sessions, we offer excellent seminars of special interest to law enforcement families.

Bonus Night

Need more R & R in the Redwoods? Come early and spend Monday night for an extra $52 per room. An extensive list of local eateries and activities is provided.

(Meals and the full conference begin with Tuesday night’s 7 p.m. buffet.)

HERE’S THE BONUS: Monday’s lodging is FREE for any registration and deposit received by December 20, 2007.

What to Bring

It’s casual-dress for leisure! Bring: recreation, biking, and hiking gear; a warm jacket (a must for cool nights and possible spring rain); Bible & notebook; flashlight and camera. We provide linens, towels and soap. Please bring your agency’s patch and/or your personal trading card.

Amid giant redwood trees, crisp mountain air and streamside hiking trails, you will enjoy many opportunities to build friendships, plus great food and comfortable lodging.

Getting to Mount Hermon

70 miles south of San Francisco and 30 miles west of San Jose, Mount Hermon is set in a Redwood forest canyon just above the beautiful Pacific Coast.  Registration begins at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, and our bounteous buffet is at 7 p.m. Thursday’s brunch ends the conference. Full-time registration is required. Detailed directions and maps may be found here.
