Albert Tate

Albert is the founding pastor of Fellowship Monrovia—one of the fastest-growing multi-ethnic churches in the country.  He began in ministry pastoring just a few families at Sweet Home Church in Mississippi before serving the historic Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena, CA.  For over 17 years, Albert has preached the gospel around the world to tens of thousands of people from all walks of life.  Hearing the call from God to plant a church, Albert and LaRosa, his wife of 13 years, launched Fellowship Monrovia in January 2012.  In its short history, this gospel-centered, multiethnic, intergenerational church has already established a solid foothold in the region for life transformation to the glory and honor of Christ.  

As a dynamic communicator, Albert is passionate about sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ both to the local church and the global community.  Blending the power of storytelling with his own good sense of humor, Albert enjoys illustrating God’s amazing grace and love in church, academic, and conference settings.  Albert and LaRosa have three beautiful children—Zoe, Bethany and Isaac. Albert also serves on the Board of Trustees at Azusa Pacific University and the Fuller Youth Institute. He was recently published in Letters to a Birmingham Jail: A Response to the Words and Dreams of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Bryan Loritts is an author, speaker and Lead Pastor of Abundant Life Christian Fellowship, a multi-ethnic church in the Silcon Valley. He serves on the Board of Trustees for Biola University. He also serves as the president of the Kainos Movement, an organization committed to seeing the multi-ethnic church become the new normal. Tommy Walker
Tommy Walker

Tommy Walker is a worship leader, singer/songwriter, educator and founder of Break Through Christian Academy in Manila, Philippines.   He has served as a worship leader for 25 years.  Tommy has written over 200 songs that are currently tracked by C.C.L.I. and are sung in churches around the world. His most popular songs include, He Knows My Name, That's Why We Praise Him, Only A God Like You, Mourning Into Dancing, I Have A Hope and We Will Remember. Tommy has recorded worship music albums and singles for, Maranatha! Music, Integrity Music. Brentwood and is a writer with LifeWay Songs. On about any given Sunday around the world you are likely to hear the choir and congregation singing one of Tommy’s songs. Tommy Walker songs have been recorded by such artists as - Israel Houghton, Paul Baloche, Ron Kenolly, and many others.

Phil Sillas
Phil Sillas

Hailing from Los Angeles, California, Phil Sillas is a veteran of the Christian Music Industry. A Dove Award winning producer and songwriter as well as former VP of Maranatha Music and former A&R Director for Song Discovery/Worship Leader Magazine. Phil has worked with David Foster, Jimmy Webb, Natalie Grant, Plus One, and Danny Gokey and has written numerous songs for Film and Television. Phil is currently President of TSG Records, which is home to “Mi Corazon Canta Worship Series” as well as vocal group “Gutierrez”, and “Genessis & Nikki”. He and his wife Karen live in San Luis Obispo, California while their son Andre is a third year student at UC Davis.

Vaughn Thompson Jr
Vaughn Thompson Jr.

Vaughn Thompson Jr. is the worship pastor of Cathedral of Faith, which is an extremely diverse 8,000 member church in the heart of San Jose, CA one of the most diverse cities in the country.  He has a Bachelors in Pastoral Ministry from Lee University and a Masters in Theology from Fuller Seminary. He and his wife, Irene Marin Thompson, have also formed a diverse worship ministry that incorporates music and artistic expression from many cultures called Third Culture Worship. He is a frequent writer for Worship Leader Magazine and has recorded 2 full length worship projects with special guests William McDowell, Steve Crawford, Keith Staten, and Sheila E. He is also working on their 3rd Worship Album with multiple Grammy Award winning producer Aaron Lindsey.

Diane White-Clayton (Dr. D) 

Dr. Diane White-Clayton, a native of Washington, DC, has been on staff at Faithful Central Bible Church in Los Angeles since December 2005 where she is founding director of the Sacred Praise Chorale. A Baptist preacher’s daughter, she’s been singing, playing and directing choirs since childhood. She holds a Ph.D. in Music Composition from UC Santa Barbara and studied in Paris, France as Rotary Scholar at the Ecole Normale de Musique. Dr. Dee has held several university and church positions and travels extensively as performer and clinician. She is author of “Journey to the Altar”: an Encouragement for Single Women, teaches at Loyola Marymount University and Disney Performing Arts Conservatory; and owns a publishing company with her husband and best friend, Joe Clayton.

Dave Burns
Dave Burns

Dave is a gifted worship pastor, composer, and recording artist and recently released the CD “Arise Magnify.” Since 2007 he has served as the Director of Adult Ministries at Mount Hermon and a resident musician. Dave’s passion for multi-ethnic worship experiences has helped bring this conference from a dream to a reality. He will act as the host /MC for the retreat.

Jon Lugo
Jon Lugo

Jon has been serving as the Worship Arts Pastor of Bethel Church San Jose since 1989. He oversees the programming and content of services and special productions. He is a worship leader, choral conductor and an amazing keyboardist, arranger and writer. Jon has a deep passion for multi-ethnic worship that is lived out at Bethel. He is a thoughtful and deep teacher of issues concerning congregational worship.

Phillip Ferrell
Phillip Ferrell

A psalmist in the true sense of the word, Phillip Ferrell II has been making music for most of his life both vocally and as a keyboardist. Displaying inherent musical abilities as early as age 4, Phillip received grassroots training through his family’s church affiliation where his father functioned as soloist & choir director, and later became a minister, and finally a pastor. As a participant in several choirs and ensembles, Phillip continued to perfect his singing and songwriting talents throughout adolescence. He began professional training at the age of 12, first studying classical music and ultimately jazz. Eventually Phillip became as fascinated with the technical aspect of creating music as he had been performing it. Consequently, he began working with bands and singers all over the country. This love of the technology led him to enroll at Berklee College of Music in Boston Massachusetts, earning a degree in Music Production and Engineering & Songwriting. Since the program completion, Phillip has had many notable accomplishments. Currently, Phillip is serving as the owner of Citywalk Music, a music production house that serves the needs and dreams of artists. He is on staff at The City Church as Music Lead, writing songs and shaping the next generation of worship leaders. He continues to be in demand as a guest worship leader, songwriter, and producer traveling throughout the country and abroad.

Chris Chanco Harell

Singer/Songwriter/ Chris Chanco Harell’s name is certainly a familiar and beloved one in Southern California. Some people have God-given talent – their music seems to come from another place, effortlessly, and Chris is certainly blessed with this gift. Like so many soulful voices, hers was developed in the church, and currently works as the worship leader at La Jolla Christian Fellowship. From enthusiastic worship anthems to heartbreakingly beautiful ballads about pain, love, and redemption that move audiences to tears, Chris is a vocalist who brings a lot of passion and dedication to her songs. In 2013, she completed her first album, "Waiting on the Words." Produced by Stephen Gause and fellow conference artist, John Wineglass; Chris co-wrote 3 of the 10 tracks on the album and plans on releasing a second album sometime in 2017. She is the primary vocalist on nine tracks of the new Worship CD entitled “Arise Magnify” by Dave Burns. Chris is a strong builder of worship teams with a strong emphasis on intergenerational teams.

Stephen Newby
Stephen Newby

Stephen Newby is a native of Detroit, MI, and presently living in Seattle. He is an Associate Professor of Music Composition, Director of The Center for Worship at Seattle Pacific University, Director of the Seattle Pacific University Gospel Choir and Elder of Worship Arts at Antioch Bible Church. Newby has served as a Worship Leader/Recording Artist for Maranatha! Music, Integrity Music, Promise Keepers, and Family Life Ministries. He has recently authored the book Worship Outside the Music Box, a Theology of Music and Worship and Multi-Ethnic Ministry

Hal Sacks
Hal Sacks

For the past 25 years, Hal Sacks has combined his exceptional audio/video production skills with his vast experience across genres and industries, joined with an invaluable ability to unite and inspire personalities and temperaments of every kind. With multiple Grammy, Stellar and Dove nominations, Hal’s spirit-led goal is to serve the whole body of Christian believers using his gifts and experiences to see the “church” move ever closer towards its highest calling to be a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, intergenerational and multi-genre church experience. Hal is particularly honored to have produced and engineered the recent “Make Us One - Culture Fusion” project featuring original music by outstanding contemporary Christian musicians and voices including Tommy Walker, Kirk Whalum, Abraham Laboriel, Norman Hutchins, Albert Tate and others who are involved in this conference.

John Wineglass
John Wineglass

John Wineglass is a multiple Emmy Award winning composer and arranger, keyboardist and viola/violinist. John acts as the musical director for two churches in California and has a passion for multi-ethnic worship, embracing different cultures in worship through music. In mainstream genres, John Wineglass has worked and performed with ® GRAMMY-Award Winning artists and producers, including Aretha Franklin, John Anderson of YES. Bebe & CeCe Winans, Yolanda Adams, Richard Smallwood, Loris Holland, Victor and Roy Wooten, Israel Houghton and New Breed, and Andrae and Sandra Crouch. The portfolio of acclaimed artists and musicians who Mr. Wineglass has also worked with include Tito Nieves, Kevon Edmonds, Najee, Will Downing, Jamie Foxx, Whitney Houston, Jay-Z, , Paul Baloche, Dallas Holm, Clint Brown, Jean Luc-Lajoie of the Kry, Ron Kenoly, Gary Oliver, The Kenoly Brothers, Rodney Howard-Browne, Alvin Slaughter, Darlene Zshech, Martha Munuzzi, Don Moen, Bethany Dillon, Shane & Shane, Sarah Groves, Charlie Peacock, Matt Redman, Brenton Brown, Brandon Heath, Mia Fieldes, Leeland, Joy Williams, Tommy Walker… John is a gifted speaker and teacher with a wealth of knowledge to share.

Raymond Wise
Raymond Wise

Dr. Raymond Wise is an ordained minister and has served as a church musician/vocalist for more than 30 years. He has appeared on radio and television, recorded 22 albums, performed with opera singers, orchestras, dance companies, professional recording groups. He has toured extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia and regularly serves as a singer, pianist, composer, conductor, lecturer, choreographer and teacher for orchestras, opera companies, and choral festivals. Dr. Wise recently performed at Carnegie Hall where he debuted one of his many compositions. Wise has penned more than 600 compositions. His Anthology of 21 Spirituals for the 21st Century has received national and international acclaim. More than 200 of his compositions are available through the Raymond Wise Choral music series. Dr. Wise currently serves on the faculty of Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. He serves as Professor of Practice in the African American African Diaspora Studies department and instructs courses in African American music.

Doug Gould

Doug Gould is CEO and Founder of Worship MD, a company that teaches church volunteer worship and tech teams  how to make the best use of audio and music technology. Over the last fourteen years he has been a very effective presenter at hundreds of worship conferences all over North America. Shari Gould
Sheri Gould

Sheri Gould is a graduate of the University of Ill. She has taught voice privately for over 35 years. She has been a worship leader and music director in various local churches since 1986. She was the director of Good News Productions, an evangelistic outreach involving singing, drama, dance and original musicals for 13 years. She writes for Worship Musician! Magazine and tours the country with her husband teaching and equipping the Body of Christ for music ministry at such conferences as, National Worship Leader, Christian Musician Summit, Seminars4Worship, Camp Electric,  Experience Conference, Worship Institute, Worship Northwest, WorshipGod and many more. 

Tom Dante
Tom Dante

Tom is a recording artist playing on countless sessions as well as playing in church each Sunday at Saddleback Church primarily in recent years in the Praise Gospel Venue. He also plays with numerous artists including jazz artists Dean Grech, Greg Vail and Jay Gore having done concerts with Blake Aaron, Tom Brooks and David Pack of Ambrosia. He continues to do travel dates with John Tesh. Tom works as a clinician for Yamaha Worship Resources. He is a happy father of four!
