Introducing Mount Hermon's "Retreat to Advance"
Mount Hermon is pleased to announce a new family of conferences and workshops entitled Retreat to Advance, which are carefully designed to move individuals and teams forward into more effective ministry. RTA currently includes three tracks, Leadership in the Redwoods, Spiritual Formation in the Redwoods, and Worship in the Redwoods, with more to follow. Why Retreat to Advance? The Kingdom of God has been called the upside down kingdom. It is a place where the first shall be last, the weak are made strong and the worldly-wise shown to be fools. As we’ve looked back over our first 100 years we realize that God has used Mount Hermon in the same paradoxical way. He has given us a ministry that moves individuals and teams forward to more effective ministry by calling them to this very special retreat in the redwoods. When you come to Mount Hermon you take time to breathe, consider where God is calling you and receive excellent instruction and equipping. A visit to Mount Hermon is truly a retreat to advance. Good information is available everywhere you turn through books, broadcasts, podcasts, conferences and seminars. Retreat to Advance is the antithesis of overload, allowing participants to slow down, reflect, consider, discuss and internalize important lessons designed to enhance personal spiritual formation and ministry development. It is for individuals and teams who recognize the need to get off the fast track, if only for a few days, to reconfirm their call, consider new directions, and be personally and spiritually refreshed – all while enjoying unique natural beauty as well as retreat center activities including mountain biking, rock climbing, hiking, and dozens of other activities available in the Santa Cruz Bay Area.
