Hiring

Am I hired to work the summer at one camp, or several camps?
You're hired to work the summer at one camp. Occasionally we make ask someone to work 1-2 weeks at another camp, but the vast majority of staff remain at one camp for the summer.

When will I find out if I'm hired?
We typically begin the hiring process in mid-February, and our goal is to have most summer staff positions hired by the end of April. We begin the hiring process by reviewing applications from returning staff, then we transition to reviewing 1st time applicants. If you're a first time applicant whose application is complete (application, reference forms, interview) by early March, you should know sometime in April if you've been selected for a summer staff position.

If you don't hear back from us by early April, don't take that as a negative. If we receive more applications than anticipated, it takes us longer to review all the applications and to make hiring decisions.

If you are selected for a position, Jacquie will email an employment offer to you. If you accept the offer, you'll then be able to access our web site to review information about the position, plus complete a number of employment forms.

What if I'm not hired for my 1st choice?
We receive more applications than we have positions, which means we have to say no to some very good people. Jacquie will email if you are not hired for your 1st choice, and she'll let you know what positions are still available. If you're interested in being considered for something else, your application will then be forwarded to your 2nd choice.
