Echo Program
Echo is a small co-ed community of 10th through 12th graders who live at Redwood Camp but who work and interact with people at all of our Santa Cruz sites. Echo offers students a vision of an integrated faith by leading them through rhythms of the day that include solitude, study, work, play, truth telling, and communal life. Echo campers will spend part of each day providing service in food service, housekeeping and other areas to campers at Redwood, Ponderosa and the Conference Center.

Changes to Echo
Echo is expanding from 3 to 4 cabins at Redwood Camp. And the number of counselors is increasing from 4 to 6.

Positions Available with Echo

Echo Counselor
At least 20 years old. Prior/current experience with high school age students. Able to engage in a variety of outdoor activities.  Lead Bible studies and activities, work alongside campers during service hours.  Able to articulate and demonstrate a personal, committed and thought-through faith in Christ.  Responsible for physical and spiritual welfare of up to 8 high school campers for a 2-3 week period.

Echo Program
Assistant Program Director (Seminary / Grad Student) Assist in the development and leadership of a 14-21 student multi-week program concentrating on spiritual formation and worship through work. Support relationships with counseling staff, lead times of prayer / instruction / worship, and assist in implementing summer program comprised of highschool students and college staff.


Echo Counselor Rotation

When on rotation one (1) counselor will remain at Redwood; one (1) will be at the Center; and one (1) will be at Ponderosa. Counselors will continue to live at Redwood during their rotational week.
Counselors on rotation will be Echo crew supervisors at the Center, Ponderosa, or Redwood. These supervisors will work with the Echo staff and students in completing projects.
