Ponderosa Lodge

Located in a pine forest on the summit of Mount Hermon (elevation: 500 feet!),  Ponderosa Lodge is our camp for junior high school and high school students. For the months of July and August, Ponderosa Lodge will host 7 weeks of camps: 3 weeks of junior high, and 4 weeks of high school.

Approximately 45 college-aged staff are hired as counselors, as well as in a number of support and program positions. All summer staff positions are paid, and include room and board.  Summer staff members also have the opportunity to raise additional support through our Amicus program.

NEW! For This Summer:

  • The counselor rotation system is being reinstated. In a 4 week period, counselors will counsel for three (3) weeks, then move into their rotation position for one (1) week.
  • Each week seven (7) counselors will be on rotation. Four counselors will rotate into positions at Ponderosa; three (3) counselors will rotate down to the Conference Center to be Youth counselors (working with junior high or senior high students).
  • Counselors who rotate to the Center will work 42-44 hours per week. And counselors will continue to live at Ponderosa for their rotation week.
