ECHO ECHO offers students a vision of integrated daily faith by leading them through rhythms of the day that include solitude, study, work, play, truth telling, and communal life Rythms of the day. Morning Each day students in the echo program will spend their early mornings alone practicing time alone with God in contemplation, prayer and meditation. Breakfast will be eaten communally around the Redwood Camp Tables, sharing insights and lessons learned for their mornings. Mid-morning will be spent together as the ECHO community wrestles with different scripture and classic spiritual disiplines. Time will be spend as a co-ed community teaching and discussing, and as cabins hashing out how different spirtual truths will impact each person. Afternoon Each student will spend their afternoon providing some type of meaningful service to Mount Hermon campers. Students might find themselves at the Conference Center helping with Housekeeping duties, or at Ponderosa preparing and cleaning up meals, or at Redwood camp helping the custodians keep the camp clean. During their time of service students will be put into groups of 2-3 and will be challenged to process through the spiritual truths discussed during their morning together. Evenings Each evening students will eat together and conclude the day doing some communal activity. It might be an evening at the local homeless shelter, playing together at the Mount Hermon fieldhouse, teambuilding on the Redwood Camp Ropes Course, or playing at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk!
