Hi Lisa,

I just had a couple of students from my church attend the ECHO camp. In todays Christian sub culture there are many ministries, conferences, authors, and workshops that choose to talk about all of the things we as believers should be doing to change the way we serve in our communities as well as the world.

It's rather discouraging to see so many of us using so many resources to create "true" impact but when all the dust has settled, we often find ourselves in the same place we started. Sometimes we discover that we may have even backtracked a little.

It is encouraging to know that there are ministries out there that are actually doing something to create change rather than just talking about it. Through God and the ECHO program, I have seen the lives of my students change almost instantaneously. I now have two students who know what it's like to serve and have a true desire to seek justice in a unjust world.

Because of the things God is doing through the ECHO program, we are now going to figure out what we as a youth ministry can do to find opportunities to serve within our community. Thank you guys sooooo much for having a program like ECHO. Hopefully more people will "echo" what you guys are doing at Mount Herman! Keep fighting the good fight!
