Mount Hermon’s Youth Advisers Retreat
at Ponderosa Lodge
January 25-26, 2008

Training, equipping and refreshing are what our annual Youth Advisers conference are all about!

Come for a day and-a-half conference that is designed for professional youth workers’ and volunteer staff to gain vision and be inspired for the work that God has called you to! We know that you give of yourself tirelessly loving and caring for both Jr. and Sr. High students, let us pamper and prepare you and your staff for another year of ministry. We’ll combine inspiring teaching, thought provoking seminars, team building, rejuvenating recreation and mouth watering food for a short weekend that you won’t want to miss.

Listen to what last year’s guests had to say:

“What a blessing this was”

“Awsome conference, very beneficial!”

“I came not knowing what to expect, and was very blessed by the event. Thanks so much!”

“This was like a cup of cold water to my soul.”

Speaker

Mike King the president of YouthFront in Kansas will be our speaker for the short weekend. Mike is very excited about combining his passion for spiritual formation, and his love of youth workers into a challenging weekend. We’re excited to have mike out to Mount Hermon for the first time.

Author of  Presence-Centered Youth Ministry: Guiding Students Into Spiritual Formation a book that proposes a youth ministry centered in the presence of God. Here, young people encounter Christ not in the flash and pop of arena ministry, but in the sacred shadow of his presence. This book gives shape to such ministry through the classic disciplines and potent symbols and practices that have sustained the church over the centuries
