Family Camps would not be family camps without our child care building and the fantastic ministry team that loves and cares for our youngest campers. This past summer was no exception, hundreds of children experienced the love of Jesus as they were ministered to by our staff.
Last spring many of you graciously gave a gift to help replace the old and tired child care deck. Thank You so very much! Through you, the Lord provided all the funds needed to restore this vital ministry zone.
Our plan was to begin work as soon as possible and be finished before our busy summer season. Unfortunately, our plans simply did not work out the way we hoped. As the process unfolded, it became clear that the permit required for this project could not be obtained in time to complete construction before campers arrived.
As followers of Jesus, we always seek to maintain a strong relationship with the local authorities, by doing our best to adhere to Romans 13:1—3. As such, we will pick-up right where we left off, once Labor Day Family Camp is completed. We will then precede full-speed to complete this project as soon as possible.
It’s been said that: “Knowing when not to work is as important as knowing when to.” That certainly applies in this case, but more importantly is the fact that we walk by faith as we trust the Lord in everything. Thanks to each of you who join us day by day on this exciting journey of faith!
