The Three C’s

Lives transformed at Kidder Creek

Today’s Youth Are In Trouble!

If you have kids or grandkids, I am sure at some point you have had a conversation about the adversity today’s youth confronts. The list of all the challenges they are facing is long!
But this isn’t anything new, is it? Our parents said the same thing about us and it was true— we were in trouble! We needed help.  We needed Jesus. If you have given your life to Jesus, you know that Jesus transforms your life.
Today’s youth need the same— they need Jesus. At Kidder we are all about giving kids Jesus. We see their lives transformed through an encounter with Jesus which they get as they interact with the three C’s.

The Three C’s:

Creation
Romans 1 tells us that in creation we can see the attributes of God. Psalm 46:10 says that through quiet time in creation staring at the night stars or out over a beautiful mountain lake that we can know God. He uses time in creation to speak to us as we see His majesty, glory and power as well as His creativity and love. Jesus regularly used creation to teach while on hikes, or out on boats or while walking past trees. We follow Jesus’ example at Kidder and use time outdoors in quiet contemplation as well as through great adventures to help our campers see Jesus.

Content
God’s word, the Bible. Through daily Bible study and campfire, while we walk to the pond, or share meals together we are constantly looking for ways to inject truth into conversations. The Bible tells us God’s great love story of creation, fall, redemption and restoration. While the world crumbles the foundation upon which we can build our lives, we show campers Jesus and His way to live through God’s word. It is the truth and the foundation from which we learn about life, life to the fullest

Community
We have the best counselors and staff that every year create a loving Christian community. Our goal is that when campers walk on to the property, that they will feel the love. In a God glorifying way where campers feel known and loved.

I love to see how as we engage with creation, teach the word and share life together with the purpose of making Jesus known in all we do, God uses it to transform lives.

Would you join us in praying for this upcoming summer and for each camper, that they will each take one step closer to Jesus?
