GRADES 2-3: PRIMARY

Redwood Lower Elementary Camp

Lower elementary camp is the perfect introduction to a sleep-away camp experience. We keep the cabin groups small so your camper gets tons of individual attention and they're sure to make new friends. Adventures like the flying squirrel and discovery grove ropes course are designed to challenge and delight 2nd and 3rd graders, while traditional camp activities like swim time, crafts and campfires start new traditions. Here among the redwoods and alongside our loving staff your camper will meet Jesus in fresh and real ways.

GRADES 4–6: JUNIOR

Redwood Upper Elementary Camp

Upper elementary camp gives your camper a chance to explore who God has made them to be through increased challenges, new adventures and counselor led small group times. The zip line and Geronimo swing are age-appropriate challenges to be conquered and target sports like archery allow campers to develop new skills. Cook-out night at the creek, ice cream at the fountain, and cabin times help campers discover their independence. Community worship and hilarious skits, meaningful dramas, campfires, s’mores and sharing times will solidify their relationship with Jesus.

    3. On the dashboard, click, "View Itineraries"
      View Itinieraries
    4. Select your itinerary and then your child's name.

    2. Fill out each page then press the "continue" button
    3. Complete the form with your electronic autograph (electronically signing your name)
  • Request a Roommate for your Camper's Cabin

Is there someone your camper wants to create lifelong memories with this week? We've got you covered!

Roommate Policy: Up to 3 friends can room together in the same cabin. Roommates requests will be available on May 30. The parent or guardian will receive an email at that time explaining how to complete the roommate request online.

Follow these directions after May 30th and let the memories begin!

    1. Click on the Roommate Request Icon
      Roommate Requests Icon
    2. Enter the friend's name, their parent's email, and watch for them to approve your request!

You're all set! Again, we ask that you limit your roommate requests to only two friends. Make sure you have confirmed your roommate no later than 1 month prior to camp.

Nervous about not having a roommate request? Don't be. There are so many amazing people that will be in your camper's cabin this week, they'll make friends quick and fast!

  • Put Money on Your Camper's Account
    1. Select "Store Account"
      Store Account Icon
    2. Add how much you would like to add and if you would like to donate the balance.

If they run out of money during the week— no problem! Use this same portal to put money into your camper's account remotely.

  • Make Additional Payments

Making a payment on your camper's week is easy. No worries, it's simple.

    • Include one OLD pair of “tennis shoes”
    • A daily change of underwear and socks

    PLEASE DO NOT BRING
Cellular phones, iPods/radio/CD player, electronic games, playing cards, comics, fireworks, hunting knife, bows, firearms, pagers, phone cards, animals, or sports equipment, unless cleared with the Director.

  • Medication

    Important Notice:

Please note that our Health Services Staff are to receive all medications, vitamins, and over-the-counter drugs in their original prescription bottles and or manufactures packaging, at the time of check-in. No unlabeled medication, supplements or vitamins will be accepted and dosed per California Public Health Department.

  • Drop Off & Pick Up
    Drop Off

Camp starts Sunday of your selected week with check-in between 3–4:00 PM at Redwood Camp. If you know that you will be late to registration, please call the front desk (831.335.4466) so that your camper's spot will not be released to the waitlist. Cabin orientation begins immediately. Put this address in your GPS:

6496 East Zayante Road, Felton, CA 95018

When you turn into Redwood, you will be greeted by staff and encouraged to drive slowly as you make your way into camp.

    Pick Up

All camps will conclude on Saturday following our Victory Circle celebration which begins at 9:00am concluding by 9:40am. Parents are invited to attend the final Victory Circle time (9am) for a glimpse of your child’s week at camp. It is essential that campers be picked up promptly by 9:40am on Saturday.

While Your Camper Is Away

  • Send Mail

SPECIAL NOTE ON PARCELS TO CAMPERS
We are now asking parents to no longer drop off or send any parcels or packages for your student at camp this year. We also ask that you no longer send additional food items in your students luggage to camp. This is due to several reasons: the camp provides a balanced diet, including desserts, each day for the entire week. In addition, there is a daily scheduled snack bar time for children to purchase a drink, candy and/or ice cream. The third and most important reason is the increase in the variety and range of allergies that children enter our camp community with, creating increased concern for unintended allergic reactions.

Birthdays can still be honored with arrangements made ahead of time with the RWC Administrative Lead.

Thank you for complying with this request to help keep Redwood Camp safe and caring for all students.

Everybody Likes Mail — Especially at camp! When sending letters to your camper, make sure to focus on the fun and interesting things that are happening at camp, rather than lots of reminders or news from home. (That will help a lot with homesickness!) If you would like to guarantee that your camper will get all of their mail from you, bring it with you on Opening Day, labeled with the camper's name and the day you would like it delivered and hand it to our Admin Lead.

    Sending Mail USPS:
    Camper Name
    c/o Redwood Camp
    Box 413
    Mount Hermon, CA 95041

If you send mail, we suggest mailing it on Monday or Tuesday of your camper's week. Late arriving mail will be returned to sender.

  • Check Out the Photos Online!

See the week as it progresses!

Photographers usually have time to upload the day's pictures each evening.

Something to take note of: there are no cell phones allowed at camp. So, if your camper would like to take their own pictures, they will need to bring an actual camera to make that happen.
