"I was born in San Francisco. I grew up in San Mateo. I was a typical Bay Area troubled teen until I met Jesus. I struggled with all the things the average kid struggles with on the peninsula.
Everything changed when I met Jesus though. Friendship, family, purpose, values, self-value all were changed when I gave my life to Jesus. Since then I’ve wanted to know Him more and more, and be like Him as much as possible. I have a passion for understanding and talking about the Bible, as well as joining Jesus in the work of restoring creation to what He created it to be.
I scuba dive poorly, surfed very poorly, and ride motorcycles averagely. My wife Tonya is way more intelligent than me, and she reflects the joy and love of Jesus in a way that to this day changes me. And my 2 kids, Nico and Mia, are so much closer to Jesus than I was at their age that it both fills me with joy --and humbles me.
I was a youth pastor for 20+ years, in the Bay Area and San Diego, and I miss it all the time. But, being the pastor of Cornerstone Walnut Creek is the hardest and best leadership position I’ve ever been in. Mainly, because I get to do the few things I’m good at and love to do every day; lead in God’s church, teach about Jesus, and build teams powered by the Holy Spirit."

Please plan to arrive at Ponderosa Lodge on Friday between 5–6:15pm. We will be providing a continuous serving buffet dinner between 6:15–7:15pm. The dinner meal will be held until 7:15pm, please contact the Registrar if you plan to arrive after this time. Our first session will begin at 7:15pm If you have any questions about the weekend, please do not hesitate to call.
Saturday afternoon is designed for you and your son to maximize your time together as you choose. Following lunch you can explore the many natural and/or commercial attractions in Santa Cruz County, or enjoy one or more of the optional activities available at Ponderosa Lodge between 1:00–5:30pm.
