• Service Details

  An Easter sunrise service, open to the public, will be conducted at the summit of Mount Hermon on Easter Sunday at 6:30 AM, on April 5, 2026. The speaker is Ed Snedeker, who pastors locally at Felton Presbyterian Church. Joining him in leading praise songs on the resurrection is Colin Chalmers, Worship Pastor at FBC. Service will conclude by 7:30 AM.

  The non-denominational gathering is planned by volunteer community members and has been offered to the public annually for over 60 years. Anyone who wishes to join in the community celebration of Christ’s resurrection is welcome to attend.

• Things to know
  • It is about a 15-minute walk from Mount Hermon’s Ponderosa Lodge parking circle off Graham Hill Road, or the nearby County Probation Center.
  • Those making the climb need good hiking shoes for the sandy hill and warm clothes in case of a chilly morning.
  • Limited seating is provided for those unable to stand for the duration.
  • Unfortunately, we will not be offering a breakfast this year. We hope to continue this tradition in future years.
  • Signage from Graham Hill will point the way to the parking lot, additional signage will direct hikers to the Cross.
  • When using Google maps for directions to Ponderosa Lodge, please confirm it is the Ponderosa Lodge address off Graham Hill Road at 6400 Graham Hill Road. Note that if you enter Mount Hermon Camps, it will direct you to the Conference Center, which will be incorrect.
