Mount Hermon's Men's Retreat is a time where you can witness the peace and quiet of God's creation, experience the refreshment of a weekend away from the busyness of life, be challenged by powerful teaching, and connect with other men walking similar journeys.
2025 Theme: Mentoring and Discipleship Men are invited to come and learn how God works to transform, refresh, and renew us through intentional mentorship and discipleship relationships. Come learn from three pastors who having been in a purposeful mentoring relationship with each other for years. (Jim mentors Gary who mentors Paul.)

Jim Burns

Jim Burns is the president of HomeWord. He speaks to thousands of people around the world each year. He has more than 2 million resources in print in 20 languages. He primarily writes and speaks on the values of HomeWord, which are: Strong Marriages, Confident Parents, Empowered Kids, and Healthy Leaders. Some of his most popular books are: Doing Life with Your Adult Children. The Purity Code, Creating an Intimate Marriage, Have Serous Fun and Finding Joy in the Empty Nest. Jim and his wife, Cathy, live in Southern California and have three grown daughters, Christy, Rebecca, and Heidi; three sons-in-law, Steve, Andy and Matt; and three grandchildren, James, Charlotte and Huxley.

Gary Gaddini

Gary serves with Transforming the Bay With Christ, a city Gospel network of over 500 churches in the San Francisco Bay Area. His role as Unify Director is to encourage and equip Lead Pastors to fulfill Jesus' prayer in John 17:21-23 and become one.

Prior to joining TBC, he served at Peninsula Covenant Church in Redwood City for 24 years. (He started overseeing Family Ministries and then served his final 19 years as the Lead Pastor.) Gary earned his BS in Business Management from Sacramento State University, (which Gary affectionately refers to as the Harvard of the West) and an MDiv from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois.

Gary and his wife Anne have been married for 32 years and have five awesome daughters ranging in age from 30 to 13.

Gary’s hobbies include roasting coffee beans and pulling espresso shots, searching for the world’s best cannoli, riding on his Peloton, his Vespa, and doing anything with his wife and daughters.

Paul Taylor

Paul Taylor came to California from Texas to attend Stanford University. After stepping off the plane, he never wanted to leave the Bay Area. Having graduated with a degree in Industrial Engineering, he worked for Oracle Corporation as a Product Manager for 7 years. In 2007 he became a pastor at Peninsula Bible Church in Palo Alto and served there for over 18 years before joining Transforming the Bay with Christ as Director of Unify in the summer of 2025. Out of a longstanding burden for Christians to follow Christ more fully at work, he co-founded the Bay Area Center for Faith, Work & Tech in 2024. Paul is married to Rachel (also a pastor in the Bay Area) and has five grown children. He loves trail running, skiing, and will almost never turn down ice cream or coffee. New boost

Brandon Pasion

Having led worship across the nation for more than 18 years, Brandon seeks to help people see Jesus through whatever music he is playing or writing. A storyteller at heart, Brandon's honest and candid style seeks to tell our collective story, always moving us back to Jesus. Brandon is the Worship Pastor at Central Peninsula Church, and lives in Foster City with his wife and two girls.

  • Payment Policies
    • Deposits: Deposits: A non-refundable/non-transferable deposit will be required to complete your registration. Please have a payment method ready to go during the registration process. We accept Visa, MasterCard, or an Electronic Check. Deposits are $100 per Adult.
    • Total Balance Due 30 Days Out: The total of your itinerary will be due 30 days before the start date of your week of camp. On this day, your account will automatically be charged the remainder of your balance.

Richard Dahlstrom

Richard Dahlstrom is the senior Pastor at Bethany Community Church, Seattle, WA. He is an author and teaches internationally at conferences and Torchbearer Bible Schools. He has the ability to captivate multi-generations with his teaching of God's Word. spiritsoulbody.org

Curt Harlow

Curt Harlow is one of the Senior Pastors of Bayside Church in the Sacramento area. Bayside is one of the fastest growing and innovative churches on the west coast with 15 weekly services, 5 campuses and 17,000 people in regular attendance. Before coming to Bayside he spent almost three decades working with teens and 20 somethings as a missionary to college students. Curt communicates in a hilarious style that will make you laugh hard and then think even harder. Most of all, he will challenge you to find grace inspired ways to apply truth in everyday life. Ian Pitter

lan Pitter was Born and raised in the United Kingdom, lan and his family moved to the USA in 2011 and currently live in Castro Valley CA.

Ian is an anointed Worship Leader, Musician, Producer, Songwriter and Motivational Speaker. With a heart and passion to worship, Ian devotes his life to leading people into the life-changing experience of being in the presence of the King.

Ian’s work as a musician, lead vocalist and backing vocalist has taken him around the world to countries such as Japan, South Africa, the USA, the Caribbean and across the majority of Europe. Ian has worked with some of the most renowned artists from around the world such as Israel Houghton, Darlene Zschech, Martin Smith, Tim Hughes, Graham Kendrick and Dorinda Clark to name but a few.

Ian recently spearheaded the recent Bay Area Blessing. He was the visionary behind bringing more than 100 Worship Leaders and Musicians together to declare a Blessing over the Bay Area at one of the most challenging times our nation has lived through.

Ian was also apart of the charity fundraising recording entitled ‘One Voice’, Every Tongue, Nation and Tribe, distributed under EMI Music Group. He joined that project as one of the featured vocalists for the album in addition to retaining his excellent skills as one of the producers of the Album.

The recording collection featured a who’s who of Christian music; Matt Redmond, Rance Allen, Mary Mary, and GRAMMY Award winner Israel Houghton. Ian and Darlene Zschech sang the duet - Awesome Wonder.

lan currently serves as the Creative Arts Pastor at 3 Crosses Church in Castro Valley, California. He is supported in ministry by his wife Tracey, daughters Myah and Traci-Louise and sons Ian ii and Liam.

As an award-winning author, dynamic storyteller, and Christian motivational speaker, he provides articulate, hard-won biblical wisdom that educates, motivates and inspires. A kinetic bundle of human energy and enthusiasm, Zoro captures audiences with his engagingly winsome spirit, practical wisdom, sense of humor, and unbridled passion.

Sanjay Ponnan

Break-out Session Speaker
Sanjay Poonen, considers his calling to be a "Daniel in the Workplace." He grew up in India, the son of a well-known Bible teacher and church-planter, Zac Poonen, and came to the US as an immigrant on a scholarship to college over 30 years ago. Sanjay speaks often to audiences about how one can practically be a Christian in the workplace. He resides in the Silicon Valley, where he is currently CEO of Cohesity, a leading data security company that protects companies data from ransomware attacks. Previously he was COO of VMware and prior to that President of SAP. He started his career as a software engineer at Apple and Microsoft. Sanjay has an MBA from Harvard, an MS from Stanford and an BA in Computer Science from Dartmouth College.

When You Arrive

    Please plan to arrive at the Conference Center on Friday between 4:30–7:00pm We will be providing a continuous serving buffet dinner at 6:30. The dinner meal will be held until 8:00pm, please contact the Registrar if you plan to arrive after this time. Our first session will begin at 8:15pm If you have any questions about the weekend, please do not hesitate to call.
