Spend a week trail riding into mountain lakes in the Trinity Alps Wilderness! Explore gorgeous high country scenery while caring for your horse. Round it all out with sitting around the campfire while learning of God’s love and sleeping beneath the stars.
This Junior/Senior High Camp is not for brand new riders or the faint of heart, but for those who know the basics of riding a horse and desire to draw closer to God in His creation plus make friendships and memories to last a lifetime.

    Sibling Discount

    Pay full price for the first child and receive $100 off for each additional sibling registered.

    Bring a Friend

    Returning campers and their new-to-Kidder Creek friends each receive $100 off. Bring 1 Friend: Get $100 off; the friend receives $100 off! Bring 2 Friends: Get $200 off; the friends receive $100 off! Bring 3 Friends: $300 off; the friends receive $100 off!

    How to Apply Discounts

    1. Complete all camp registrations first and pay deposits.

    2. Email [email protected] to request that the discount be applied to your account. (Please list friends' names when inquiring about the Bring a Friend discount.)

  • Camperships

    Please do not let finances get in the way of a Mount Hermon experience. Through the generosity of many, a partial grant from the Campership Fund may be just the gift you need to make it possible for you to attend camp.

  • Payment Policies
    • Deposits: A non-refundable/non-transferable deposit will be required to complete your registration. Please have a payment method ready to go during the registration process. We accept Visa, MasterCard, or an Electronic Check. Deposits are $150 per child.
    • 50% Balance Due 90 Days Out: 50% of your total registration cost will be due 90 days before the start date of your week of camp. On this day, your account will automatically be charged and is non-refundable.
    • Total Balance Due 30 Days Out: The total remaining balance will be due 30 days before the start date of your week of camp. On this day, your account will automatically be charged the remainder of your balance and is non-refundable.
    • Cancellations and Changes: Non-refundable Deposit: Regardless of when you cancel, the initial deposit is non-refundable. Up to 90 Days Before Arrival: Except for the non-refundable deposit, there are no penalties for cancellations made up to 90 days prior to your arrival date
      • For cancellations made within the 90 days leading up to your arrival date, 50% of your total registration cost is non-refundable.
      • For cancellations made within the 30 days leading up to your arrival date, 100% of your total registration cost is non-refundable.
    • Transfer Fees In the event that you decide to change the week in which your child is attending camp, there will be a transfer fee of $50.

    We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. While we always aim for flexibility, these policies help us ensure proper preparations for our camp attendees. We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to be sure of your attendance dates.

Things to Know

  • Schedule Overview

    Day 1 - Arrive, meet fellow High Country Campers and Wranglers, tour Kidder Creek Camp, dinner and campfire

    Day 2 - Travel to Carter Meadows, set up camp, meet your horse, take short trail ride, great food, campfire

    Day 3 - Ride into a mountain lake, swim, great food and campfire at base camp

    Day 4 - Ride into a new mountain lake, swim, great food and campfire at base camp

    Day 5 - Ride into another mountain lake, swim, great food and campfire at base camp

    Day 6 - Pack up camp, short hike to another mountain lake, travel back to Kidder, BBQ w/ family, goodbyes

  • Packing List
    • Warm sleeping bag and pillow
    • Warm-weather and cool-weather clothes
    • Jeans for riding
    • Heavy sweatshirt or fleece jacket
    • 1 winter hat
    • Modest swimsuit (one-piece swimsuit for girls)
    • Shower/beach towel
    • Toiletry kit—toothbrush, toothpaste, comb/brush, extra contacts
    • 1 pack of handi wipes
    • Sunscreen
    • Walking shoes and/or tennis shoes for vaulting
    • Riding boots (cover ankles, smooth sole, 1” heel)
    • Sandals for pond (flip flops ok)
    • 1 small flashlight or headlamp
    • Bible w/pen or pencil
    • 2 water bottles (recommended 32oz/1qt unbreakable plastic)
    • 1 small, compressible day pack
    • 1 rain jacket or emergency poncho

    Items NOT to Bring:

    • Cell Phones or ANY electronics
    • Expensive cameras
    • Alcohol, drugs
    • Firearms, knives, weapons of any kind
    • Jewelry or other valuables

    Optional Items:

    • Hammock
    • Foam or air ground pad
    • Lip balm

    • Sunscreen
    • 1–2 bandanas
    • Waterproof disposable camera
    • Change of clothes for the trip home

  • Important Food Policies
    • We will provide a vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free option at every meal. For Celiac, we will do our best to accommodate but cannot guarantee against cross contamination.
    • We are a peanut safe camp. We will not serve any peanut product out of the kitchen.
    • Please make sure you have listed the allergies in the medical forms when you register online.

Arrival & Departure

  • Bus Transportation

    Bus Transportation from the Bay Area to Kidder Creek and back is available for an extra fee.

  • Arrival
    • Camp starts Sunday of your selected week with check-in beginning at 4:00 PM

  • Departure
    • Ranch camp closing will consist of a closing BBQ and ceremony at 5 PM.
    • Families are invited to join us for the BBQ. You can add your BBQ meal in registration.
    • The BBQ $8 per person, sign ups and payment can be done in your child's account.
