Ride bikes, jump in cold mountain water and learn about the adventure of following Jesus during a week of Mountain Bike camp. A combination of skills instruction and ride clinics prepare campers to ride the world-class trails of Mount Shasta and Mount Ashland while time off the bike is spent swimming, on the high ropes course, and learning how God loves us and loves adventure.

  • Camperships

    Please do not let finances get in the way of a Mount Hermon experience. Through the generosity of many, a partial grant from the Campership Fund may be just the gift you need to make it possible for you to attend camp.

  • Payment Policy
    • Deposits: A non-refundable/non-transferable deposit will be required to complete your registration. Please have a payment method ready to go during the registration process. We accept Visa, MasterCard, or an Electronic Check. Deposits are $150 per child.
    • Total Balance Due 30 Days Out: The total of your itinerary will be due 30 days before the start date of your week of camp. On this day, your account will automatically be charged the remainder of your balance.
    • Cancellations and Changes:
      Until 30 days prior to the event, the non-refundable deposit $150 is retained.
      From 29 days until 22 days prior to event, $225.00 is retained.
      From 21 days until 8 days prior to event, $325.00 is retained.
      If within 7 days of the event, the entire registration cost.
    • Transfer Fees: In the event that you decide to change the week in which your child is attending camp there will be a transfer fee of $25.

Get Ready to Ride!

  • Get fit to ride

    All campers should be ready to ride each day for a half to whole day and so should be physically fit in order to maximize enjoyment of the week. Download the Training Program PDF

  • Get your bike ready to ride before camp

    Bring your own bike. Each camper should bring their own bike for this camp. We recommend that you have your bike tuned up prior to camp so it's ready to go. If you don't have a bike that is suitable for a week of hard riding you can rent one at your local bike shop or contact us and we can help you with some good options for renting up in our neck of the woods.

    If using the bus for your trip, please be ready to remove a wheel if necessary and to put your bike under the bus in the luggage compartment. Blankets will be provided to wrap your bike in.

    Please note that e-bikes are not allowed on some of the Forest Service trails.

  • Keep your bike ready—Bike Maintenance Deposit

    Each Camper will be asked for a bike maintenance deposit of $100 to be put in the camp store to only be used for any maintenance on your bike during the week of camp. All unused deposit will be returned to you at the end of the week of camp.

 
Prepare

Things to Know

  • Camping, Food, & Recreation
    Camping
    • Campers at Mt Bike Camp will be camping under the stars or in tents while at camp. Some of our campers bring a sleeping pad or hammock to use for the week.
    Food
    • Meals are served in one of our outdoor kitchens or Dining areas; each meal has a gluten, dairy, and meat free option
    Recreation
    • When not biking, campers will spend time at local swimming holes and at the pond, playing field games, and ending each day with a campfire
  • Packing List

    In addition to your bike and gear, you'll need to bring the following:

    • Mountain Bike (see the "Get Ready to Ride" section above for more details)
    • Warm sleeping bag and pillow
    • Warm-weather and cool-weather clothes
    • Jacket
    • Modest swimsuit (one-piece swimsuit for girls)
    • Shower/beach towel
    • Bathroom supplies (soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste)
    • Sunscreen
    • Water Bottle
    • Walking Shoes
    • Sandals for pond (flip flops ok)
    • Flashlight/headlamp
    • Bible w/pen or pencil

    Items NOT to Bring:

    • Cell Phones or ANY electronics
    • Expensive cameras
    • Alcohol, drugs
    • Firearms, knives, weapons of any kind
    • Jewelry or other valuables

    Optional Items: Inexpensive or disposable camera. Put name on camera

  • High School Shuttle Waiver

    High schoolers only: We will be using a shuttle service to get from camp to the trails. Please fill out this waiver before arriving at camp.

  • Important Food Policies
    • We will provide a vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free option at every meal. For Celiac, we will do our best to accommodate but cannot guarantee against cross contamination.
    • We are a peanut safe camp. We will not serve any peanut product out of the kitchen.
    • Please make sure you have listed the allergies in the medical forms when you register online.

Arrival & Departure

  • Arrival
    • Camp Arrival is between 4:00–5:00 PM on Sunday of your selected week
    • Put this address in your GPS: 2700 S Kidder Creek Rd, Etna, CA 96027
  • Departure
    • Parents, we invite you to join us for dinner on Friday night at 5 PM followed by a short camp closing time all together before your campers leave for the week by 6 PM.
    • The BBQ $8 per person, sign ups and payment can be done in your child's account.
  • Bus Transportation

    Bus Transportation from the Bay Area to Kidder Creek and back is available for an extra fee.
