Workshops

Take a look at some of the work shops we will be offering at this event:

  • Parenting Teenagers: Big Questions that Inform Everything

with Steven Johnson, Director of Family Ministries at MH

There are three big questions informing everything your teenager is feeling, experiencing, thinking, and choosing. The good news is that God has provided answers. Discover what those questions are and how to help your teen best navigate their present and future.

  • Digital Media: Parenting in a Connected World

with Steven Johnson, Director of Family Ministries at MH

What do you get when you take a lunch room, movie theater, a sleepover, and prom night and bend it all together? Well…the answer would be today’s digital media landscape. Understand the changing world of the digital media and how to best lead your kids through it.

  • Parenting Adult Children

with Danny Wallen, Lead Pastor at High Street Community Church, and Sierra Campbell

Does parenting stop at a certain age? How do we navigate this challenging season of life? Join this father and daughter duo and bring your questions, answers, confusion and clarity to this interactive time together. We will consider Jesus’ teaching on grace and truth, explore the launching of young adults and even ponder becoming friends with your parents.

  • Understanding Current Generations

with Kelsey Paterson, Director of Youth Ministry at Mount Hermon

Regardless of your age or season of life, chances are you interact with many people who are part of different generations than your own. Currently, Millennials, Gen Z and Gen Alpha are those who are in youth and young adult seasons of life, but with time, newer generations will be on the rise. In this seminar, we’ll explore how generations are similar and how they are different, as we identify the cycles of history and patterns of generational theory. As we seek to better understand these generations, we will gain a greater compassion for them, as well as practical tools that will aid our leadership and discipleship with youth and young adults.
